as psychological determination factors of memory and thinking development of pupils in the process of learning. Determined are the main psychological and pedagogical conditions of creation of game and problem situations, the most significant of which is ensuring their optimum balance depended on the stage of primary education. The results of the controlling experiment prove the fact that the determination factor of memory and thinking development of the first-year pupils is a didactic game; for the third-year pupils the most effective means of cognitive processes development is problem solving learning.
