The formation of the noble land ownership in the South of Ukraine during the second half of the the XVIII-XIX th centuries are analyzed on the bases Tavricheskoy provinces, the forms of the noble land ownership and the peculiarities of this process are amplified. The government activity and regional administration, directed on the acceleration of colonisation, are investigated.
