Подготовлены практические инженерно-психологические и методические рекомендации для профессиональных ориентации и отбора пожарных, определены принципы их проведения. Разработана и обоснована организационная структура профессионального психологического отбора в Государственную пожарную охрану Украины, определены и описаны его этапы.

This dissertation deals with engineering and psychological guarantee of professional selection to state fire-protection of Ukraine. The work demonstrates the possibilities of obtaining professionally important qualities during professional training after optimum professional psychological selection of firemen.

Theoretical analysis has been done within the framework of well-determined approach, structure and system of professional psychological selection. Professiographic analysis of the activity of professional men in fire-extinguishing has been done. It was determined that the main features of psychological peculiarities of professional men are top-level development of attention as well as psycho-physiological functions of visual and hearing analyses, low level of anxiety, high level of nervous and psychological stability, high stable equilibrium, strong nervous system and high intellectual level.

Shown are peculiarities of dynamics of professional skill of firemen during their studies in the higher technical establishment and at the beginning of their practical activity. Effectiveness of using the proposed technique of professional selection for the service of fire-extinguishing has been proved.

Practical engineering and psychological recommendations for professional orientation and firemen selection have been developed.
