Прослеживаются причины, динамика и правовые условия колонизации, процесс формирования немецкого землевладения, особенности материальной культуры, быта и духовной жизни волынских немцев. Установлен факт формирования этнорегиональной группы волынских немцев, их влияния на этническую структуру и социально-экономическое развитие региона.

For the first time in Ukrainian historiography the German colonization in Volyn, life and activities of the German national minority of the above mentioned region in the 60-th of the XIXth century – at the beginning of the XXth century is systematically investigated. The reasons, dynamics and legal circumstances of colonization, the process of German land ownership formation, the peculiarities of economy, way of life and culture of the Volyn Germans are observed. The fact of the ethnoregional group formation of the Volyn Germans and their influece on the ethnic structure and socio-economic development of the region has been established.
