Dissertation for getting the Doctoral Degree in the field of Economics in specialty 08.07.02 – Accounting – Mykolaiv, 2004.

The Dissertation represents the complex research of the development of agrarian and processing spheres of Ukrainian AS. The conceptual basis of their analysis is given and the strategies of their subsequent effective functioning are worked out.

The methodological aspects of prognosis, interbranch proportion optimization and modelling of AS branches development are specified.

The work offers the conceptual approach to defining a prospective regional model of agrarian economy capable of providing efficient AS development (through interaction of financial, organizational, technical and marketing activities).

The work gives considerable attention to financial credit system improvement, price formation management forms. The new approaches to the regulation of AS production volume are defined according to the inland consumption and the increase of sale in foreign market. The strategy of AS processing branches and their raw material sources is developed taking into consideration geographical, climate and economic conditions.

On the basis of market management conditions the new forms of production capacity reproduction (based on defining priority trends of food and processing according to different sources of investment financing) are offered.

The new formulation of Ukrainian AS export potential is grounded. It can be applied when defining the production structure for the foreign market and must be based on marketing activity.

The work defines the basic indications of integration processes development in production, procession of cattle breeding and vegetable production by means of their intensification. The ways of regulating investment innovation activity in agriculture and food processing industries are defined.

Analyzing the economical conditions of development in AS, the prognoses of manufacturing of basic kinds of production in AS branches (e.g. sugar, meat, sunflower oil) are calculated in this work.
