Matokhnyuk L. O. Formation of psychological readiness of the future engineers-borderguards for professional activity. - Manuscript.

This thesis is for obtaining the Psychological Sciences Degree in Speciality 19.00.07 – “Educational and Age Psychology”. – The National Academy of the Borderguard Service of Ukraine named after Bohdan Khmelnitsky, Khmelnitsky, 2006.

The thesis deals with the research of psychological readiness of cadets-borderguards for professional engineer activity. The model has been suggested. Determinants, indices and dynamics of the development of motive-value, cognitive and operative-performing components of the above mentioned readiness of the 1st – 4th year engineer cadets of the National Academy of the Borderguard Service of Ukraine have been determined. The main problems of the mentioned readiness at Higher Mathematics lessons and in extra-curricular time have been revealed.

The programme of psychological readiness improvement of future engineers-borderguards for professional activity at Higher Mathematics lessons and in extra-curricular time has been worked out. This programme is aimed at providing the important professional qualities of the future specialist. The effectiveness of its using for formation such qualities as communicative competence, self-esteem, creative self-realisation ability etc has been confirmed.
