It was determined the social and psychological status of a teacher in a problem field of the country society; his leader potential was opened by means of uncovering the psycho semantic structure of the socially significant traits, which are actualized in the process of public functions execution; the level of his influence on the process of public opinion forming as a representative of one of the leading categories of the country society.

The comparative analysis of the country teacher image as a leader of the public opinion in the home-folks minds was realized as well as his reflexive estimation and self-appraisal.
