Dissertation is devoted to the study of development of architecture of basilian monasteries in the context of development of Ukrainian architecture ХVІІ is the ХХ item

In work, forming of network of basilian monasteries during ХVII is considered is the ХХ item. On the basis of the archived materials the basic stages of development of building of the basilian monasteries І – 1617 are exposed – 1743 years - period of alteration of the got monasteries; ІІ - 1743-1918 yy. – period of bloom of building; ІІІ – 1918-1946 yy. – period of reconstruction of the monasteries blasted by military operations. First created integral picture of forming of architecture of basilian monasteries, classification of monasterial buildings is conducted and exposed typological planning charts.

In work there are the considered factors which influenced on architecturally – spatial organization of basilian monasteries on every stage of their development. The architecturally-artistic decision of basilian monasterial buildings is analysed in the context of Ukrainian and European church building.

In the process of research there are the exposed basic features of planning–spatial decision of the basilian monasteries. . As a result of model inspection there are the modern progress trends of basilian monasteries in Ukraine.
