The dissertation investigates the possibilities of application of psychological knowledge through definition of the requirements to the personality of the assessment center educators as a condition for increasing the efficiency of preventive activities.

In accordance with the worked out criteria of professionally significant qualities, the psychogram and professiogram have been designed. Thesis also presents the ways of improvement of measures for the prevention of juvenile offences, considering the specific manifestations of pedagogical activity of the specialists in the internal affairs system.

The practical value of the results obtained lies in the presentation of the requirements to the personality of the assessment center educator and their implementation into the process of professional selection and improvement of the psychological and pedagogical preparation system.
