Описаны психологические особенности личностной религиозности каждого типа и проанализирована специфика проявления личностной религиозности в сравнении с ведущими защитными механизмами и копинг-стратегиями.

Предложено ряд рекомендаций для психотерапевтической работы с людьми, требующими коррекции в данной области.

Проведенное исследование очерчивает перспективы дальнейших исследований в этой области.

Dissertation work is devoted to the research of the problem of personality religiousness. Theoretical and methodological bases of religiousness, its position as scientific notion have been defined in the papers. The content of religiousness as related to the individual psychological traits of personality was confirmed by the reliable characteristics revealed during the study. The relation between psychological personality traits and its religious behavior and attitudes has been explored.

The author put into psychological practice a new notion of “personal religiousness”, which has been described in terms of G. Olport’s external religiousness and serves as a part of this phenomenon. Personal religiousness is based on the individual interpretation of the religion, on extracting of only the “profitable” context from religious doctrine. Such type of religiousness is not an independent existent value, but mainly is being used only like the instrument for inadequate personal defenses.

During the work mechanisms of personal religiousness forming and functioning were explored. Four types of personal religiousness as connected with appropriate personality profiles were described.

In the research the author suggests new instrument for personal religiousness study, which could make the procedure of personal religiousness defining easier and clearly marked in degree.

An analysis of empirical data states that the personal religiousness is similar in its phenomenology to the classical psychological defenses. The main distinction among the types of personal religiousness is based on the capability of the person to maintain only the one separate and partial component of religiousness. As well schizoid type of personal constitution is being fixed on the cognitive component of religiousness, depressive personality type chooses the emotional including into the religion but with negative sign, obsessive personalities prefer to structure the religious behavior and use rituals as the main, hysterical personality type takes only the emotional content of religion but with positive sign. All these issues has been analyzed from the position of authentic and non-authentic religious feelings, it was confirmed, that the personal religiousness mostly connected with non-authentic religious feelings.

The main psychological peculiarities of every type of personal religiousness have been described in the presented work. The specific appearance of personal religiousness in the context of psychological protective behavior was analyzed with coping strategy influences.

The author suggests the complex of recommendation to the consultative work with people, who need the correction in this sphere.

Present research opens the new perspectives in the field of personal religiousness exploration and calls for all the demand for scientific work on degree getting.
