В эксперименте изучалось влияние этимологизации терминов на процесс усвоения младшими школьниками грамматических понятий, осознания ими системы грамматического строя украинского языка. Познавательная этимологическая информация о терминах и создаваемое ею эмоциональное состояние восприятия научного языкового материала оказывали положительное влияние на формирование интереса к изучению грамматики украинского языка, способствовали осознанному восприятию сложных языковых явлений. Этимологизация заимствованных лексем позволила учащимся глубже проникнуть в генетический состав украинского языка, определить его место и лингвистические связи с родственными славянскими языками.

Результаты проведенного эксперимента свидетельствуют о том, что разработанная методика этимологизации слова содействует повышению интереса к изучению украинского языка.

В диссертации определен ряд вопросов, требующих дальнейшего исследования, в частности, педагогические условия этимологической работы со словом на межпредметной основе. Актуальным является изучение проблемы введения в учебники и программы важнейших этимологических знаний.

Word etymologization as a means of junior schoolchildren interest formation for the Ukrainian language. – Manuscript.

The thesis for a candidate’s degree of pedagogical sciences on speciality 13.00.02. - the Ukrainian language theory and methods.teaching - Institute of Pedagogics of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Kyiv, 2000.

The thesis submits the system of methodical work in primary school with word ethymology (lexemes and termlexemes) which displays the contents and forms of pedagogical influence on the process of junior schoolchildren’s interest formation for studying the Ukrainian language. The research determines etymological knowledge projection on different levels of the language material investigated in the initial training program, the etymologization process influence junior schoolchildren cognitive activity. The etymological material structured into theme groups according to speech activity of junior schoolchildren.

The experiment investigated termlexemes influence on the process of junior schoolchildren grammar concepts mastering, their comprehension of the Ukrainian language grammar structure. The intellectual etymological information of termlexemes and appropriate emotional state of scientific language material perception exerted positive influence on the formation of interest for studying the Ukrainian language grammar, complex language phenomena deliberate perception.

The results of the carried out experiment testify that the developed word etymologization methods promote the increase of the interest for the Ukrainian language studying.

The research gives some concrete material for further teaching and educational process improvement in primary school.
