In work the inclusion of modern lines in a practical work on discipline "The Basics of Artificial Intelligence" is considered, that allows to define the orientators for construction of educational course of discipline “The Basics of Artificial Intelligence":
It is expedient to offer the subsequent subjects of a course: artificial intelligence and basic directions of discipline; means of knowledge representation (semantic networks, frames, objects) and control system of knowledge, expert systems; processing of natural language and development of intellectual interfaces; means of logic and object-oriented programming as the basic styles of programming of tasks of artificial intelligence; the game programs; tool systems of artificial intelligence - intellectual agents and multiagent system; intellectual search machines in the Internet (WebCrawler, WebBrain).
After studying the course the students should know how to determine the purpose of discipline "Artificial Intelligence"; to analyze the link of discipline „Artificial Intelligence" with psychology, philosophy, linguistics and other branches of knowledge; to describe the sequence of operations at designing of systems, which one act intelligently; to determine systems of interactive acquisition of knowledge and their basic performance; to describe problems, which one are necessary for construction of an intellectual system; to give the characteristic to levels, which one integrates in itself of „comprehension" of the natural language; to understand assigning the consulting model; to determine stages of computer simulation; to know how to explain, how the self programming and training in systems of an artificial intellect are implemented.
The acquisition of skills for executing effective search in the network and the analysis of the information are also relevant. The perspective direction is applying an artificial intellect in the solution of a problem of searching in the Internet with usage of ontology. The ontological approach to annotation of resources is applied; it is the intrusion into web-pages of the more complementary structured information about their contents, that in further will be used by the search robots.
