Граючи в ці ігри, учні тре-нуються в написанні англійських слів.

25. THE ALPHABET

Вчитель повинен мати два комплекти карток з літерами алфавіту. Клас ділять на 2 ко-манди, кожна з яких одержує по комплекту карток. Коли вчитель вимовляє слово, учні з відпові-дними літерами біжать до дош-ки й складають його. Команда, яка склала слово першою, одер-жує кількість балів відповідно до кількості літер у слові.

26. FILL IN THE MISSING LETTERS

Учитель пише на дошці слова, в кожному з котрих про-пущена одна літера. Потім він вимовляє звук і просить учнів вставити відповідну літеру у слово і назвати її.

27. ALPHABET TRAIN

Вчитель по черзі викликає учнів з кожної команди і про-понує їм повторити речення My train (plane, bus) is carrying..., додаючи слово, яке починаєть-ся з першої, другої, третьої літери алфавіту.

Pupil 1: My train is carrying apples.

Pupil 2: My train is carrying apples and bread.

Учень, який не зміг швид-ко повторити речення з новим словом, вибуває з гри. Пере-магає команда, в якій на кінець гри залишилося більше гравців.

Оскільки учням важко швидко згадати слова на літе-ри q, z, х, вчитель на поперед-ньому уроці попереджає, що вони гратимуть у цю гру.

27. A LETTER LADDER

Вчитель пише на дошці ко-ротке слово. Слово, яке учень
пише під ним, повинно бути довшим на одну літеру. При
цьому в кожному наступному слові дозволяється міняти
будь-які літери крім першої. Наприклад:

man her read
moon her reader
month heart receive
mother

morning

Перемагають учні, які на-писали найбільше слів.

28. USE A LETTER, MAKE A WORD

Називають літеру та її по-рядковий номер у слові. На-приклад: the letter і is the second in the word. Учні по черзі пи-шуть на дошці слова, де ця літера стоїть другою:

За кожне слово дається один бал.

29. ADD CONSONANTS

Учитель пише на дошці го-лосні літери. Додавши приго-лосні, учні одержують інші слова.

Виграє учень, який напи-сав останнє слово в рядку. Потім він повинен прочитати ці слова і перекласти їх. За свою роботу він одержує 5 балів. За кожну помилку знімають 1 бал.

30. WORD COMPOSER

Учитель пише на дошці слово, наприклад representative. З літер цього слова учні скла-дають нові слова і записують їх на дошці.
